Is there a difference between a horizontal c-section scar and a vertical one when considering a VBAC?

I would like to give birth to my next child naturally and I have a doctor appt. March 11th to discuss if I will be able to have a VBAC or not. The nurse told me it has something to do with the type of incision made during the c-section, but she didn't know anymore info. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Yes the bikini cut or horizontal cut you can have a vbac, if they went vertical, another c-section is mandatory
Reply:YES! with the tradational C-section you can try VBAC with the one that goes up and down they cannot as you are more prone to issues. I dont know why, just that is what I read.
Reply:if your cut up and down on the inside you cant have a vaginal

too big of a risk of tearing
Reply:It depends on how they cut the uterus its self. It may not be the same as the scar on your stomic. If its low and horizontal you have a good chance of a vbac. If its vertical that is the lowest chance of a vbac, since it has the highest risk of the uterus rupturing.
Reply:Yes the vertical incisions are more dangerous when considering a VBAC.
