How long did your incision from your c-section take to heal?

I had a c-section almost 8 weeks ago and it is still bleeding a little bit off and on. It isn't bleeding a lot, it's just a little. My dr says its okay, but I've never had that happen with my other c-sections.

My c-section was healed completely by 8 weeks. My doctor said that a lot of woman whose belly's take longer to "shrink" often times there incisions will take longer to heal simply because of the friction caused by the skin rubbing together and wettness from sweating being trapped under there. If your doctor doesn't seem to think there is anything wrong thre probably isn't...maybe your just a slow healer! Good Luck!
Reply:Its not your first, but at least your third from what you say. They take a little longer as you will be very active with your family life and not just coping with one child.

The scar tissue from before may have been reduced for you to which means a little more work for the body to do internally to heal.

Just try not to over-do it, although I know that's difficult to achieve if you've 3 or more children to take care of.

Don't worry.
Reply:Mine took about 2 weeks , it was barely visible after the procedure. She did a wonderful job.

My first csec took about 6 weeks and left a horrible scar.
Reply:i have had on c section and it healed right away. i mean my staples were removed after 3 days and in a few more days it looked completely healed /in my 6 week appintment i could hardly see the scar. but i am sure if u have more then one iot takes longer
Reply:I had a c-section almost three weeks ago and mine is already healed and not bleeding anymore. It is s till sore in the inside tho.
Reply:It took me about 3 month for my incision to heal fully on the outside. It had slight bleeding up until then and my doctor said it was because I was overdoing it.
