How much would it cost me if i do not hire an attorney to have a Class C Misdemeanor expunged from my record?

was arrested in 5/06 ofr a very minor domestic assault. I I hired an attorney and perfomed 6 months of Anger mangement. I enterd a plea of not guilt and had the case dissmissed, but the criminal record shows a Class C Misdemeanor.

How much would it cost me if i do not hire an attorney to have a Class C Misdemeanor expunged from my record?
Good luck i cant seem to find in the state of texas any attorney willing to help with exsponging my assault misd. record and it is affecting employment at all levels! and on top of that i have a felony drug charge that is showing up and is not mine and no one seems to care! and cant find attorney to get this off either! looks like the system is failing us good ol americans again!
Reply:Domestic Assault charges, due to their nature, are not always expungable. Costs of expunging charges vary state to state and charge to charge. The best thing to do is contact your local District Attorney's office or Cleark of Courts. Who handles it varies state to state and even county to county.

I wish you luck. Even with it being "only" a Class C misdemeanor, domestic assualt charges are hard to removed from a record.
Reply:i dont know but i had to pay 75 dollars to get a peiti theft charge sealed from my record

Does an airport have to have an operating control tower to be classified as being within Class C airspace?

Is an "operating" control tower an "Absolute Must" for the airspace around an airport to be considered as Class C airspace?

Does an airport have to have an operating control tower to be classified as being within Class C airspace?
An airport with an operating control tower will almost always be surrounded by Class B, C, or D airspace.

Control Zones:

Many people often refer to this airspace as a control zone. Though no longer an official Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) term, our interactive airspace map will show you all of the control zones surrounding America's Class B (shown in blue) and C (shown in magenta) airports.

Class C Airspace is the airspace from the surface to 4,000 feet above the airport elevation. Class C airspace will only be found at airports that have an operational control tower, are serviced by a radar approach control, and that have a certain number of IFR operations.

How long did it take for you to recover from a c-section?

Had a c-section a week and a half ago and I am very frustrated because of the pain and limited inability to hold, feed and change my baby. I just stopped taking darvocet and motrin since I am pumping milk and I am afraid the meds might affect my child, so I am just toughing it out daily. Doctor said I could drive 2wks after the operation. I researched about it, and says that you won't feel like yourself again until after 2mos. Is that true for you moms who had a c-section? Please advise. Also, when did your bleeding stop?

Thanks in advance to your helpful replies.

How long did it take for you to recover from a c-section?
hey there i have had 2 c-sections and to be honest i would say it took about a month to feel good and 2 months to feel great a week and a half is to soon to expect to much and i know how you feel i felt so powerless when i could not jump right up to get my baby try Tylenol for pain if your in to much pain it will only make it worse so try Tylenol when it gets to bad and the bleeding is different for everyone but for me the intense bleeding stopped after about 2 weeks and then it was like having a period for about two more but the breast feeding help a lot and after a month i stopped and did not get it back till i quit breastfeeding as hard as it is try to take it easy and just know you had major surgery so it will take time to heal! good luck with the new little one and congrats!
Reply:I had a C-section with my son and I swear to god I was up and about within 4 days. Ask your doctor about a new procedure. What my Dr. did (Dr. Tollie Oliver, Providence Hospital Washington DC) was, he performed a procedure called liquid stitches. I didnt get stitches or staples on the outside. After he delivered my son, he stitched the inside layers but he used liquid stitches (glue) on the outside. I didnt have to monitor the site or anything. I have a tiny line across the bikini line. The glue dissolved in about 4 weeks and I swear to you that I was able to go about (cautiously) my bussiness regarding nursing and caring for my son the moment I got home. Furthermore, do not torture yourself by not taking your meds. I nursed my baby in the hospital and at home and I took percocet and motrin 4 times a day together, (I guess that aided in my abilities ..lol) untill I ran out..lol... it is fine ,,, it does not secrete in breast milk. My son is happy and healthy... good luck!!!
Reply:I had a C-section 4 months ago. The area around the scar is itchy, numb, and still occasionally hurts (only slightly).

The bleeding lasts for about 6 weeks, sometimes longer. It eventually fades from red to brown to yellow.

I couldn't get myself out of bed r in and out of a chair for a week and a 1/2. I could somewhat hold my son after 2 weeks, but it was still difficult. It took me several weeks to be able to lay on my side again.

When you are getting up and down, try holding a pillow tightly against your abdomen - it hurts a little, but it makes it easier to get up/down, and it makes the area feel more secure.

I was told not to drive until 5-6 weeks... Your reflexes might be off... And sudden movement can be painful to the incision area.

When they remove the staples you will feel much more "back to normal."

If you are able to lay on your side, try breastfeeding in bed... It is been the easiest for me. Otherwise, try a boppy pillow.

Make sure you are eating and drinking - I found myself not wanting anything those first few weeks - the darvocet especially made me lose my appetite.

Good luck! It gets easier!
Reply:It is true... about 2 months before you start feeling your strength again. Every week will get better. If you need pain medication, do not hesitate to take it... they are also intended to bring down the swelling, which will help you heal.

It was the simple things that were the hardest... opening doors, lying down, sitting up, picking up your baby!!!

If I can give you any advice.... DO NOT OVER-DO-IT.... don't try to be a hero.... you have had major abdominal surgery. If at any time you think you may have an infection.... see a doctor ASAP. I didn't take reddening of my incision really seriously, and ended up spending two extra weeks in the hospital.... not with my baby.
Reply:Hey I have had two c-sections and awaiting my third. The first one was horrible and I could not do much of any thing for about the first 3 weeks and then still had a lot of pains. The second was a lot better I was only down about a week. I'm a bigger person so I think that probably had a lot to do with it and if you had stapes then that also will lengthen the time of recovery.

My bleeding was not that bad and had went away within a week and a half.

Can i convert r12 to r134 A/C myself and how much it cost for toyota 1992 camry?

since i bought it and the A/C is not working so i have two choices either to recharge with the old r12 or change the whole system to the cheap r134 . can i do it myself? i like to fix stuff my own and how much it `ll cost me or how much should i pay for the mechanic and what `s the best place to do this .. tireplus?

Can i convert r12 to r134 A/C myself and how much it cost for toyota 1992 camry?
Freon 12 was banned from use in automotive air conditioners maybe 10 years ago. The proper solution is to have your system evacuated of all Freon 12, replace the AC filter, and recharge with R=134a refrigerant. About 1.5 to 2.5 pounds of refrigerant will be required. Best to have an AC shop do this for you to get good cooling.
Reply:Everybody can tell you the proper way to do it, but all you need is a kit (sold at auto parts stores) to adapt R12 fittings to 134. Doesn't take near as much 134 to fill system. No need to flush or change oil or any of that. I know I'll get crucified for this, but It's worked on hundreds of vehicles in our area. Done some of mine that way years ago and not one problem. Also can get a product called Freeze 12 at auto parts stores that replaces R12. I use this in my farm tractors and a couple of pickups. No changes needed with this.
Reply:I happen to have a 20lb. container of R-12. If you are interested, contact me at carllazvich@yahoo.com. Thank You.

How long was your recovery from a C-section?

I will be having a C-section, the middle to end of June, and my husband is in the army. They will only allow him how ever much time the doctor says I need help for. I have an appointment next Tuesday, but I am curious, should I ask the doctor for a set ammount, what is the typical recovery time. I have three older boys and will be having twins.

How long was your recovery from a C-section?
Wow, you will have your hands full :) Congrats! The typical full recovery time is 6 weeks, however I personally was doing everything for myslef within just a few days after both of my c- sections. Talk to your doctor, be frank about your situation and let him know how full your plate will be.
Reply:Hi there, Tell your doctor to request that he is home for at least a month. You will not actually be feeling bad, but you need him there for a minimum of a month!

I had a C Section with my Daughter (Huge 10lbs4oz). They get you up right away in the hospital (like within 12 hours. You will be in the hospital in most cases for 5 days recovery, and then once you are out you are not supposed to drive for 2-3 weeks. You are also only allowed to go up %26amp; down stairs Once a day for the first week or two. Make sure you actually follow thier advice, and don't do too much because you can risk developing scar tissue at the incision site that will cause pain continually (on%26amp;off) for ever pretty much. Basically though I felt OK within a week of being home. I was moving around fine and there were no reall problems. Although it is major surgey that you need to take seriously it is a routine proceedure and you will be able to tak walks (although don't push it) toward the end of your first week home. One other thing that you need to keep in mind is that you are not supposed to lift anything more than 10lbs for at least 2-3 weeks so no carying your other children, pushing your vaccum, or carrying a laundry basket full of clothes (imagine... my daughter was more than 10lbs to start with!)

Good luck with the rest of you pregnancy and with your delivery! Make sure that you have lots of help set up for when your husband has to leave (I am sooo sorry for you both that he will have to go!), you will need help with your other children and the 2 new additions!

Congratulations!
Reply:you will need about 6 weeks to recover maybe longer maybe less everyone is so different.... i had my son c-section and i was in the hospital for 2 nights... and when they let me go home the doctor told me if it hurt don't do it... people couldn't believe that i was walking up stairs the same day they let me out i lived on the second floor... and was driving 2 days after i came home... so it is just gonna be what is right for you... good luck....

my obgyn told me that it takes 2 years to fully recover from a c-section just wanted to add that in....
Reply:I had a C section and my recovery time was 12 weeks. That is the safest amount of time for recovery for C section
Reply:I agree with most of the answers. The doctor will say your recovery will be 6 - 8 weeks. I had three nine pound baby boys three years apart. My youngest son is two and I agree

with Havanah_A - I am still recovering from that last one.

I personally think it took me three years to recover from

my first two c-sections.
Reply:after my c-section i was fine after 3 days..i needed some help with heavylifting but i was doin just fine maybe also cause i knew that my husband was about to come home for leave cause he was stationed in iraq during that moment...
Reply:You can't lift anything heavier than the babies for 4-6 weeks, so you really need someone with you a lot up until then. I felt fine (no pain or soreness) after 2 weeks, but we had a 15 month old so my husband (or someone) had to be there to get her out of her crib etc. (we did actually find that if we put the crib side down and put a step stool there she could climb out on her own!) So if you have to manage you probably can! Is this your first c-section? I found that I recovered more quickly after the second.
Reply:I had two girls and then twin girls and had to have a c section, generally it takes about 6 weeks. Mostly you cannot lift anything heavier than your baby. and you obviously should not have sex, or work out during this time.

and even though the recovery is generally 6 weeks, you will still be tender and sore longer. I still have some soreness now and then and it has been 2 and a half years.

and good luck getting him time off, my hubby is navy and they gave him 10 days.

congratulations!!!!
Reply:Boy, with three older boys and twins on the way, I would push the doctor to recommend as much time as possible! Six weeks is considered fully recovered, but at two weeks you can start to do most things again. I don't know what kind of house you live in, but I was told I could only do the stairs once a day for the first two weeks. You still shouldn't be lifting your older children, and since you're having twins you'll need extra help. Ask your doctor to write your letter stating that you need a minimum of one month of help from your husband. It can't hurt to ask, and if they only give him half the time it's still two weeks.
Reply:ive had one and i was in the hospital for 5days and needed my other half off work for a week after that because you are so sore and cant walk and it is very hard to pick the baby in and out of the bassinet
Reply:I have had 2 c-sections with my first i was in the hospital 3 nights with my second it was 2 nights but some women may need 4 or 5 it just depends. Also your recovery will be fast but you will be sore.I was walking really good the next day "considering".....Anyway good luck and the best to your husband!Oh yes recovery is 6 weeks but you will be getting around faster than you think
Reply:I had a csection at the end of January and I was in the hospital for 3 days.My mom came up to help me for the first week and by the second week I was feeling alot better but still a little sore.I also have 3 boys ages 6,5,3 and a girl 14 months to take care of.They say to take it easy for about 6 weeks but I did not follow the docters orders.Just talk to your husband and you docter and see what they gotta say.
Reply:my husband was only home with me for the first like 2 nights after i got home. but i had one baby and no other children. i would suggest asking him to take off at least until you get your staples out you feel allot better after that. but get as much time as you can with twins you are gonna need all the help you can get.
Reply:The recovery time takes about 6 weeks. No climbing stairs,

lifting or pulling.

Should I drop a class and take a W or a possible C?

I'm a freshman.I might get a C in this statistics class. I don't know if I should drop it and take a W or take a possible C. I'm planning on going to med school so this would hurt my GPA if I got a C, since last quarter I had a 3.9 something. It would be my only W so far.

Should I drop a class and take a W or a possible C?
If you plan on retaking it, find out if your school allows you to retake a class with a previous grade of a C.

If you do not plan on retaking it, just drop it. One W will not look that bad, and a C may screw up your GPA
Reply:Since it's not required for your major (it sounds like it's just a general education class), it won't make that much of a difference when you actually apply as long as you keep up the excellent work.
Reply:i think you should just drop the class if it hurts your GPA.

Has anyone sprayed water on their A/C unit to help it cool your house?

Just wondering, a local A/C repair man suggested that I could do that during the peak summer heat to drop the temperatures in my house by a few more degrees. Anyone else tried it?

Has anyone sprayed water on their A/C unit to help it cool your house?
There is a little kit you can get that has a tube with spray heads. You put it on the outside evaporator and it cools that more so the a/c works easier. It claims to save you money on electric bills.

It is the same idea but easier than standing there with a hose.
Reply:I've never heard of that one. I have heard of setting a sprinkler on the roof but it didn't make much a difference.
Reply:That may work,,,, but I'm not standing out there in the heat. I've sprayed them down to clean them ,,,, that's it.
Reply:I think he is talking about a swamp cooler, that helps. If not, he is talking about keeping the unit cool so it will not use its energy to stay cool and over heating.
Reply:I have a very smart cousin that put a unit together that came on with his AC unit to spray a mist of water around his condenser and it worked great. You can see this effect at work by spraying water on your roof when it is very hot, the water gets hot and the inside of your house will cool down, I used to do this little experiment at my first house and could actually cycle the air conditioner on and off with the garden hose. A draw back to this type of thing might be a build up of calcium on the fins of the condenser and subsequent damage, you might consider the old fashion swamp cooler pads built around your unit to shade it and cool the incoming air without direct contact to the aluminum fins. Some people also shade the South and West sides of the house with fast growing vines (hops) to prevent the heat gain in the first place, this may also be done with a decorative shade of some sort...

Good luck!
Reply:I think what is meant by this is. The more you cool down the warm side of the evaporator coil the more efficiently the refrigerant can cool down the cold side of the AC. This will in theory work, there should be a significant drop in temperature. but never build the system yourself. you can make metal parts rust and break the compressor. Rather consult a Specialist.
Reply:If your going to spray water use it to to clear from the AC cooling / radiator fins anything that maybe clogging the air flow through it. Sometimes cut grass, old leaves or other fluff gets sucked into the fins. Or you can 'comb' the stuff away with a wire brush. Cooling air flow restrictions will help in the long run.
Reply:That would definitely work, but You may have repercussions.
Reply:Never heard of that one. I don't think it would work. First, water isn't as cold as the refrigerant in the system's lines, so it wouldn't cool it any, second, the moter is electric, spraying water directly on it could hurt it.
Reply:it wont really cool the house down any faster....a 20 degree crossover (difference between supply and return temps) is as good as it gets. but a wetted condenser will take some of the load off the compressor due to the swamp cooler effect. ive seen the amp reading on a compressor go from 14 amp to 3 amp just by washing the coil. when the coil dried out the amps climbed back to about 5 amps. so i guess if a person was to put a mist system on the condenser that came on with the condenser it might save as much money on the electric bill as it raised the water bill.

Possum
Reply:I don't think you should go spraying water on your unit. Could electricute yourself or blow up the motor. Now wouldn't that liven up your summer?
Reply:Hmmmm. It sounds like your local AC repairman hasbeen hanging around with "Larry the Cable Guy" to long...... LOL I've never heard of that theory before. I would be considering a larger cfm AC unit.....

How do i put on an a/c belt on a geo 91 prizm it has no tensioner on it???

Having trouble putting on a/c belt on 91 geo prizm, it has no tensioner for it what soever. And it only goes on to the crank and the compressor.

How do i put on an a/c belt on a geo 91 prizm it has no tensioner on it???
Well then, I guess it must be what I told you the other day, despite the fact that you gave Thomas G best answer.

"Some late model air conditioner compressor drive belts are adjusted by varying the number of discs between the halves of the crankshaft pulley."

http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/090...
Reply:did u look under hood...there should be a decal with schematic of belts..call geo/chevy parts dept and ask if there is a tensioner on that engine...if not..the ac compressor moves to make it tight...if it runs out of space u have too big a belt...call them...i do all the time...they laugh when i walk into parts dept...but they answer all my dumb questions

Where can I find two Capacitors to reduce the power consumpsion of my central A/C system?

Had an electronics class 20 years ago(1.5 semesters), was told that a capactior (big one) would reduce the power consumption. If true, I would like to place two capacitors inline to reduce the cost of running my A/C. Thank you

Where can I find two Capacitors to reduce the power consumpsion of my central A/C system?
If you reduce the power to your compressor - you may burn it out. It is designed to run at specific voltage and amperage (wattage). Anyway, installing a capacitor will not reduce the power consumption. It may, however, prevent spikes of voltage and amperage from affecting the unit if you don't already have one on it. It should already have a capacitor on it. It will also help 'kick start' it when it turns on. Again, you should already have one on it for these purposes.
Reply:Your idea will not work. The fundamental reason is that you are not charged for power (kilowatts). You are charged for energy (kilowatt X hours). This is a common problem in common parlance where people do not understand the difference between energy and power, and they use them incorrectly. Power is energy used (or produced) divided by time, in the same way that speed is distance divided by time. The distance you go is the speed times the time.

The total amount of energy you use will be determined by the efficiency of your air conditioner, insulation, temperature gradient, desired temperature, and so forth. That is, there is no quick fix for this problem.

Is it possible for the placenta to heal in the scar tissue of a previous c-section?

Im not sure if that is possible but I was talking to someone and they said that c-sections are risky (which I already know) and if the placenta gets cut during a c-section I could bleed severly and I would need a historectomy. This would be my third c-section and I am a bit nervous about it. So I asked why would the placenta get cut, would that mean they did soemthing wrong, and they just replied "no" it just means that the placenta has healed with the scar tissue which is what makes it possible to have succesful c-sections. Does anyone know about this kind of thing and could give me some more of an explaination?

Is it possible for the placenta to heal in the scar tissue of a previous c-section?
When the placenta grows into the scar it can cause a condition called:

Placenta Accreta

http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnan...

http://discovermagazine.com/2005/may/vit...

However if a placenta is cut during a c-section then yes it is in fact medical malpractice as they are supposed to do an ultrasound and otherwise be sure of the position of the placenta AND the baby before cutting. However I know cutting the baby is a relatively common complication of c-sections.

If your placenta is over the scar they would cut elsewhere, not over the old scar. However if you have placenta acceta it can be very complicated to remove the placenta c-section or no.

My very, very best advice to you is no matter what you decide PLEASE switch doctors this one doesn't sound like (s)he gives a damn about you. If (s)he doesn't ANSWER all your questions not only is that dangerous, it is grounds for them to loose their licence. There is no consent except for INFORMED concent.

I strongly recommend looking into a VBAC, but either way PLEASE, PLEASE find a doctor that respects and works with YOU.
Reply:First of all, your placenta is expelled when you give birth so it's not like it stays inside of you and would even be possible for it to heal into your scar. Each placenta with each baby is a new one inside of your uterus. Hopefully that puts your mind at ease.
Reply:Delivery

When the fetus is delivered, the placenta is delivered afterwards (and for this reason is often called the afterbirth). After delivery of the fetus the umbilical cord is usually clamped and severed prior to the delivery of the placenta or may be left attached to fall off naturally which is referred to as a Lotus Birth. The placenta is delivered mainly by uterine contractions, but the umbilical cord can be gently pulled while pressure is placed on the abdomen, to speed its delivery. Usually the placenta delivers in 2-10 minutes after delivery of the fetus, but it is considered normal as long as the placenta delivers within 30 minutes. If the placenta fails to deliver in 30 minutes, manual extraction may be required, and in some cases a curettage is necessary to ensure that no remnants of the placenta remain. Risks of retained placenta include hemorrhage and infection.

Im not sure, but I think this article is pretty much means that it cant happen.
Reply:Yes if your placenta is covering you scar from privious c-section that would mean that you have a low lying placenta. I had placenta preavia grade 4 which is the worst kind my placenta completely covered my cervix. i was bid riddin for one month then spent the remaining 3 months of my pregnancy in hospital i had many bleeds . I had a c-section and they had to cut through my placenta to get my son out, i did loose 5 litres of blood but they manage to stop the bleeding so they didn/t take my uterus out. So if your placenta is low its possible that they will have to cut through it, they do prefer not to but if its the only way they will . It is not your fault its just one of those things that happen. Your placenta could move up with the pregnancy and it might not be a problem try to be positive goodluck take care...

What do you think would be the best way to lower the C-section rate?

The World Health Organisation states that a healthy C-section rate is 10-15%, when it is lower than that there are effects on maternal and neonatal mortality, and when it is higher than that the same effects are seen. In other words, when a risky surgery is overused it starts to do more harm than good.

The rate in the US in 2005 was 30.2%, and in the UK, 21%.

This means that in the US the C-section rate has risen by 46% in less than ten years.

So what do you think would be the best way to lower the C-section rates in these countries to life-saving levels?

How to do it?

What do you think would be the best way to lower the C-section rate?
You bet that a lot of women are uninformed about the possiblity of a csection and the risks involved.

Doctors do unnecessary c-sections because they're afraid of getting sued. But you know what? That doesn't stop them from doing B.S. inductions and administering epidurals that keep women on their back in labor.

It doesn't make a woman any less of a mother to have a c-section but it is a travesty that our society has turned birth into a medical procedure.

The best way to lower c-section rate is to give midwives more rights and protections under law, to encourage home births and freestanding birth center births, to limit inductions to truly medically necessary situations, for every laboring woman to have a dedicated birth attendant, and for continuous fetal monitoring to be the exception and not the rule.
Reply:The only way is to either ban it unless absolutely/medically necessary or make the cost out of your pocket so big(without insurance cover)people'll think twice.

Yes, the rise in C-section rate is not healthy. It's unnatural, if anything. Women have survived and giving vaginal birth for thousands of years, a little pain isn't going to kill you. A C-section just might.
Reply:I think women should be educated more on the risks etc, there are too many women who dont know the full ins and outs of it and just say 'what the hell' and go for the risky things that often end up with a c-section such as epidurals. But the women arent the only ones to blame, too many doctors agree to do unnecessary procedures, for example if a woman asks her doctor for an elective c-section and there is nothing wrong with her or her pregnancy and no good reason why she should have one then the docotr should turn around and say 'No', but they dont seem to be able to, they like the idea of having things run on a tight schedule so that they can go play golf at the weekend. But in all honesty, I dont know the best way to approach these issues, should it be down to the law? Or the people who teach these doctors? I really dont know.
Reply:If the women who accept the c-sections understand the risks and are willing to take them, isn't it their business how they choose to deliver and not ours?
Reply:How can you possibly expect people who are not knowledgeable in this field to answer such a question? Direct the question to health care professionals, where it belongs.
Reply:Wrongly used pain releif drugs can contribute to C-Section rates.

Epidurals can slow down labour and cause difficulties pushing which can lead to the baby getting into distress and the need for a C-Section. Pethadine can do the same thing although to a lesser extent.

If women were taught that childbirth is supposed to *hurt* and that you only really need an Epidural for an unusually long and painful/difficult delivery then I beleive both C-Section rates and incidences of babies being unable to breastfeed after birth would be reduced. The drugs given to the mother can affect the baby and cause problems with the baby feeding the first day or so after birth.

I had my son without any pain releif and my god did it hurt, but I survived. I had a 100% natural delivery, quite quick as it was not slowed down by drugs, and my son took to breastfeeding really well immediately after birth as his natural feeding reflex had not been suppressed by drugs. As a result, I'm so glad that I didn't have a highly medicated delivery.

Part of the problem is the chain of interventions. One intervention, even an epidural, is likely to lead to another and another and can end up culminating in a C-Section.

I think that part of the reason the C-Section rate is higher in America is that childbirth there seems to be very medicalised and Epidurals are given to everyone. The UK specialises more in midwife-led care and epidurals are not given as a matter of course (although they are available in most hospitals).

My son was born in a Midwife led unit where there was no hoice other than gas and air, waterbirth, massage, TENS and other minor means of pain releif. In the end I ended up having him with no pain releif at all and yes it was HARD. But the fact that my labour went really well, and also fairly quick, I beleiv eis testament to the fact that in cases of complication free labour, doing it naturally is the best way. Obviously more medical procedures need to be there for those who do need them.
Reply:stop people being allowed to request one. people should only be allowed one on medical advice from a doctor
Reply:I am a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. Our unit attends all "high risk" deliveries which includes all c-sections. Old school thinking is once you have had a c-section than all of your future children must be delivered this way. I would say 70% of all c-sections we attend are repeat c-sections, 20% are for what we call the baby is having "variables" which basically means that the baby's heart rate is dropping down to such a low rate that it is too risky not deliver right away in what we call a "crash section". The other 10% are for various other reasons...some are due to the mothers health, some are her labor is not progressing, and some are just plain elective. I do however agree that it is a major surgery that is way over used and that many women that have had a prior c-section do not necessarily need to have a repeat section. But unfortunatly, most docs do not see it that way, The good side is, we see VERY VERY few complications...at least in the hospital where I work.
Reply:Way too many women out there are too tired and are in soooo much pain and just don't want to wait any longer. My boss's wife for example is not even 3 weeks from her due date and wants be be induced for the simple fact that she is miserable. Hello that is pregnancy... we were all miserable in the end. You can't just be induced or have a C-section just because you want to gave the baby now... What ever happend to having a baby the natural way. I mean I'm all for an epidural, but there are way to many risks involved in inducing Early for non health reasons an C-sections.
Reply:Well personally I don't think it is anybody's business as long as it is done when necessary and at full term. I had to have a c-section and many doctors give them when the baby starts to get in distress because they don't want to be sued if something happens - and trust me, all of you who tout natural natural natural would probably be the first ones to sue if you were going natural and the baby had problems because you were in labor too long with the baby in distress before the doctor decided to do a c-section.

Another thing, if a woman has already had a c-section then why shouldn't she be able to elect to have another one? There are complications and most that try to deliver vaginally will end up having to have a c-section so why not leave that choice up to the woman and her doctor? Why should she have to sit in pain and in labor for 20 hours with risks, just to be whisked away to have another emergency c-section? If I had another child I would probably elect to go ahead and have a planned c-section instead of the emergency and chaotic c-section that will probably follow.

Another thing that ticks me off is when some women think they're better than others because they had a natural birth when some others had to have a c-section. Trust me, the healing hurt's like hell.
Reply:Until people stop bringing frivolous medical malpractice suits against doctors, or the courts learn how to recognize them and throw them out, a lot of unnecessary procedures will continue to be done.

The docs do C-sections when none is required, and also do a lot of other unnecessary procedures just to keep from being sued, not necessarily so they can send out larger bills.
Reply:I don't think this is possable. Most doctors do not even mention c-section as an option unless there is some sort of need for it. These statistics seem very odd to me. Of course the more women you open up, the riskier it is. However, I don't think that simply not doing as many c-sections is the answer either. I had a scheduled c-section because of the size of my baby. Yes, I could have pushed him out, but it could have cause more problems then a c-section would. He could get stuck in the birth canal, causing his heart rate to drop forcing an emergency c-section, it could have displaced his sholders, or even broken bones. Then again, none of those thing could happen and it could have been perfectly fine. I personally would rather the risk be on me comming through a surgety than on my baby. There is nothing any one person can do to lower the c-section rate. This procedure has saved many mothers and babies and it is not going anywhere. I think right now it is a trend, just like formula feeding was a few years ago. But like the breast, natural child brith will too make it's come back in its own time.

By the way, I cried when the doctor told me that a c-section may be required and all the things that could go worng woth either I chose. The reason I chose a c-section was because it removed the greater risk to my baby and put it on me. I wanted desperately to deliver naturally, no meds at all. I even refused to do the pre registration for the epidural. If and when I do have another baby, I am going to try to do a VBAC. Not that this matters, just fyi.
Reply:I don't think women should work in the later stages of pregnancy. Surely the stresses of todays life is a contributing factor to the increase in c-sections.

I wanted a natural birth like most women but i had complications which i put down to stress, physically and mentally. We were caught by surprise and had a mad rush, i plastered, wallpapered %26amp; painted rooms in our house from 3 months pregnancy (hubby worked long hours %26amp; no family help ) I was getting up at 4am every morning to clean offices %26amp; industrial units, i quit at about 8 months when i got pelvis problems %26amp; then i was admitted due to a liver condition which resulted in a c-section.

Theres no research into this but i think it is stress related, women are expected to be earners, housewifes %26amp; perfect mothers- all men do (majority) is earn so why do we put so much on ourselves to do so much more than the men? We do the hardest job by carrying and bearing the children its no wonder why our bodies can't cope.
Reply:stop people being able to choose to have one.

I'm all for them for emergency reasons weather for mother or child but too many women elect to have them unnecessarily.

when someone has had one they can choose to have another that's wrong and pointless unless the scar is likely to tear, only then i can see the benefits. i know a woman who had c section 10 yrs ago been told safe for natural birth as scar wont tear as so old but she dint want to go through labour

that's lazy and a waste of nhs money and silly as it is still major surgery

come on ladies have your babies as nature intended!!!!

(medical emergencies exempt of course)

mommy12406 is right when its needed its a great thing that saves lives
Reply:This was my research question so here is a snippet...

Caesarean birth rates are soaring despite much effort to reduce them not just for health fears but the fear of litigation cases against clinicians, moreover the effects such surgery has on a women psychological and physically.

It is suggested that one of the most common contributors to the rising rates of caesarean section births in the United Kingdom is simply down to the increasing number of women having a caesarean section for their first (primary) birth. The greater the number of primary caesarean sections, the greater the repeat caesarean section rate. Therefore promoting the increase in vaginal births for first time mothers is imperative if the overall caesarean section rate is to be reduced. Studies shown by the ’National Childbirth Trust’ show that an average of 80% of women who plan a VBAC , succeed in having a vaginal birth as opposed to a caesarean section. (www.nct.org).
Reply:One of the main problems in the UK is that delivery wards are so over stretched that if a woman is in labour for more than a certain number of hours, they encourage her to have a section just to free up the room. Their babies aren't in distress, but when a woman has been in labour for a long time and she is exhausted and a section is suggested, she is generally going to take it.

So more investment in labour wards is needed.

The other key things is more support for vaginal births after caesaeran. Women who have had one are usually offered another, they think this is the only choice and the options are not explained.
Reply:STOP GETTING INDUCED FOR NON-MEDICAL REASONS! Lots of women get induced because they just want their babies out so bad, and some Dr.'s do it for insurance purposes. It's terrible. Inductions raise the c-section rate a lot. And TRY TO SUCK UP THE PAIN! Most women who get c's end up getting them because epidurals make it so you don't know when to push, causing labor to stall sometimes as well.

P.S.

It's fine for emergency reasons though. I had a water birth, and it went great.
Reply:Ooops!

I thought this was a question about the mortgage industry.

Never mind.

You ladies don't mind if I take a couple points on the way out, do ya?
Reply:I'm no expert, but I really do beleive the high rate of Inductions is one of the biggest reasons for C-sections
Reply:epidurals given too early play a part in the high c-section rate as well.

many don't realize that the risk of cesarean is not only to the mother but the baby as well.

I think people should be encouraged to labor naturally, avoid epidurals until later in labor if at all, and be allowed the time %26amp; freedom to labor as they wish. scheduled c-sections to make delivery "convenient" are absolute hogwash! so very selfish of whomever it is that wants the convenience (mother, doctor, employer). use alternate forms of pain management (breathing methods, water birth, etc). go back to what childbirthing was before patriarchal medicine got a hold of it %26amp; deemed it an illness.

faulty wiring maybe if its always been like that then that could be your problem, you should take it to a shop to find out.
Reply:Check the resistor at the heater fan. If that burns out you loose that fan speed or maybe all fan speeds. Very easy fix low cost.

How do I explain how the A/C works to my foreign room mate to keep my energy costs down?

I have had 3 different room mates in my current apt, all one after the other - not living here at the same time. It's only a 2 bedroom apt. The first room mate was from Thailand, the second was American, and my current room mate is from India. For some reason, with the exception of the American room mate, I could not fully explain how the central air conditioning unit works to the point that they can understand me. The current room mate is doing the EXACT same thing that the first room mate did. Trying to talk me/force me into turning the A/C completely off during the day when we're not at home. I come home from work and its 90+ degrees in here OMG! I was taught as a child that if you turn it off like that, it takes a lot more energy to cool the place off than if you left it alone and let it maintain a certain temp, even ok to adjust like 5 degrees. Also, I was taught never to adjust the thermostat cooler than about 5 degrees at a time. Am I correct? How should I explain?

It's easy let him or her start paying the bill. That should fix your problem in about one month.
Reply:lock and key or duct tape over it with the words written in a 'sharpee' "HANDS OFF!!"
Reply:You are correct! Have you ever seen those plastic enclosures that have a lock and key like in government buildings? Works every time it's tried and there is no need for discussion.

Do Some New Moms Really Have a C Section Just So They Can Get a Tummy Tuck at the Same Time?

I've read that a lot of celebrities have c-sections so they can have a tummy tuck at the same time but I don't know if that's really true. I'm also wondering if any non-celeb moms have done this and if it's really a good idea.

Thanks!

Do Some New Moms Really Have a C Section Just So They Can Get a Tummy Tuck at the Same Time?
I've heard of basically all of the celebs scheduling their c-sections and I guess getting their tummy tuck right after but I'm sure other moms do it as long as they have the money. but I really wouldn't recommend it. you're supposed to wait 6 weeks after having a baby to even exercise!
Reply:Wow... I have never heard this one before!! I wouldn't be surprised if people had it done though - with as vain as this world is getting... if you have excess fat on your belly, it's from the pregnancy! don't get a tummy tuck! be like everyone else and work it off!
Reply:Okay it is stupid to have unnessary surgery. And thats what most c-section are, they should only be used for cases of er's. Why would you willingly go under a knife, for a little vanity plus c section take longer to heal from.

I had my prebaby body back in 2 months with some diet and exercise.
Reply:I could just see my doctors face if I'd asked that!! I had a real straight laced, all business doctor. Loved her! But then my c-sections were really needed, and the scar she left on my belly proves that she only had one thing on her mind, get that baby out NOW!

I've never heard of it, but I have heard of women doing some crazy stuff. My sister was always a little vain, but towards the end of her pregnancies got kinda silly.(I think it was the hormones) She asked about a c-section to have a few more weeks to lose weight before a big event, her doctor said no.....
Reply:Damn i wish they woulda said hey u can have a tummy tuck at the same time as when i take ur kid from ur gut....wouldnt that be nice.....i dont much think that ur doc could do that i mean u would have to be specialized in it right? but lol sounds like a good idea to me if they woulda offerd it.
Reply:Wow, it sounds great, but I don't think it'd be wise. Why get a tummy tuck every time you have a baby? I would wait until I'm done having children to even consider it. Celebs are crazy!
Reply:an ob/gyn cannot perform a tummy tuck. that's the job of a plastic surgeon. with the amount of blood loss during and after childbirth, i seriously doubt they would do an unnecessary surgery.
Reply:Sorry never heard of it. I got a c-section but didn't need the tummy tuck though.
Reply:Tummy tuck surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
Reply:I dont think they do that, unless your OB is also a plastic surgeon. But... i have never heard of that before.

How common is it to get hepatitis c from a tattoo gun?

How common is it to get hepatitis c from a tattoo gun (not the needle)?

How common is it to get hepatitis c from a tattoo gun?
it's not all that uncommon. hcv infected blood-whether dried or wet can transmit. dry blood lives much longer than any well known virus. all it takes is the right circumstances-a drop of dried blood unseen to the naked eye can fall off of the gun while the tattoo is being done-and can enter the blood stream where it can reconstitute.

no matter how many gloves are worn, cross contamination DOES happen. statistics say one in ten can acquire the virus through tattoos as a whole. researchers found that those who had a tattoo had a 6.5-fold higher risk of testing positive for hepatitis C than other subjects. however, infected subjects with tattoos were not at increased risk for acute hepatitis symptoms compared with their peers without tattoos.

most new infections these days are sharing drug paraphenalia (7.2%) and veterans (a 1-3 chance)
Reply:I wouldn't say "very very" and I wouldn't compare them with a hospital. If they follow the State rules and most now have rules and regulations, some still are catching up, some still are not. So, by careful. I'm in a State with a tattoo parlor in our city that I wouldn't walk into.
Reply:Very, very rare. Reputable tattooists change their needles for each customer (they are disposable), just like hospitals. For the guns themselves, most tattooists have an autoclave, which hospitals use to sterilize surgical instruments like scalpels. Check with your tattooist and ask him or her how they sterilize their equipment. They are happy to show you.

Edited to add: To the person below who wouldn't say "very very", I beg to differ.

There has been ONE case of hepatitis C linked to tattooing in the entire historical records of the Center for Disease Control. I'd call that pretty remote.

Every tattooist I've ever been to uses disposable needles, tubes and owns an autoclave. I go to reputable, mainstream studios and ask questions. I have 11 tattoos myself and never a single problem.
Reply:unlikely as they "should " be covered with plastic and sanitized. Regulated by city ordances. You should only go to reputable shops then you won't have a problem.

How can I reduce swelling from my c-section scar tissue?

It's been 8 weeks since I had my baby. This is my 4th child and 3rd C-Section. It's swollen both completely underneath the incision and above it on one side. I feel like Frankenstein!

How can I reduce swelling from my c-section scar tissue?
Please go see your doctor. Because as you already know this is not normal or right. I hope your okay
Reply:Let your doctor check it out to make sure it's not infected
Reply:Swelling of scars is not good, especially if it is red and painful.

My mother is a dermatologist, and she used to talk about scars that she had to even out because they did not get cleaned properly by a doctor and excessive tissue started developing. If it's red or itches, call your doctor ASAP.

If you are absolutely sure that it's is not infected- it's completely dry, not red and it's just swollen and feels taut, OTC creams with salicylic acid will work fine. Also, toning your muscles will pull the skin back to normal and will make it less noticeable. If sit ups are too hard at this time, try vigorous walking (you can take the kids with you). Swimming is also awesome.

Then click the Next button and installation will proceed.

Once Windows is reinstalled, you will have to reinstall your other programs individually from your original install disks.

if you want to start from scratch than first enable boot from cd option in your bios settings. i can't tell you procedure because every other board has got different bios. so try using finding boot options and changing boot priority by selecting your cd rom as your first boot device and setting your hard disk to second. save and reboot. now insert your vista installation dvd to your drive and boot from it. now navigate to install new system. after that when it come to selecting hard drive partition than select every partition one by one and click on disk options. and than delete all partitions. now click on create partition. define your disk space for your partition. and make partitions three or four or more as per your choice. now select new c drive and install windows on it. after that. when OS is installed. you can format all other partitions to reuse them. if you stuck up some where contcat me

Can an A/C unit freezing up & then thawing cause a stain in the ceiling?

My home is only a year and a half old and I have 2 ceiling stains in my downstairs. My furnace is upstairs in a closet with a drain. When I noticed the first stain it was determined that the a/c unit had a leak so it was freezing up and thawing and with it thawing the water spilled out and caused the ceiling stain.

I now have another small stain and now the a/c tech said it is from it freezing up because I ran it when the temp was below 70 (we've had a couple of cool nights). I set the a/c way up high in the evening so I don't think it ran though. Is what he is telling me caused it correct? He also told me not to use good furnace filters (the more expensive ones that remove allergens) but to use the really cheap ones (that resemble steel wool somewhat). He said it runs more efficiently with the cheaper filter.

I appreciate any help you can give me in determining if what he said is correct because I know nothing about this.

Can an A/C unit freezing up %26amp; then thawing cause a stain in the ceiling?
he is partly correct about the cheep ac filters. But you should be able to run your ac when is below 70 outside. Is the guy that looked at your system the same guy that installed it? if so, call someone else. Just remember that your ac system HAS to be able to take in heat to run properly. I know it sounds funny but it is true.
Reply:He told the truth about the filters. the allergen type are so tightly woven air can't pass through easily and could cause the unit to work harder and deliver less cold. He might be snowing you about running the unit when outside temp is 70. The coil freezing should not cause moisture in the ceiling unless the drain for the pan was leaking. As the frost melts the drain should carry it out side. I think you have warm air from outside mixing with cold air inside and causing moisture. You may have to insulate the void the vent conduit is in.
Reply:I do not agree. Your unit wouldn't freeze up for running it below 70. It will run untill it satisfies the thermostat and it will shut off. The only way that the coil thawing could cause a stain would be if your drain is plugged and instead of draining it is overflowing. On the furnace filters,as long as you run the same thickness filter it will be fine no mater if its high effeciency or cheap.
Reply:it's freezing up? have you seen this yourself? there are good reasons why this happens, and running it when it's 70 outside is definitely NOT one of them.

get another AC person to look. it could have a clogged condensate drain, or low on gas, or dirty evaporator coil.
Reply:yes an a/c unit freezing up%26amp;thawing can cause a stain in the ceiling.some of your information i don't understand clearly.upstairs in your closet at the drain is the water draining some times something can block the pipe inside to cause the water to over flow.this should be checked out also is there a pan to keep excess water from leaking on the ceiling.if your low side tubing on the a\c unit is frosted up some one could have over charged the system with freion causing the condinsation to leak water on the ceiling things you should check out.it's hard to say any more i wish i could see the problm.
Reply:sounds like the drain, has spilled over,

get the person that installed it , to ex ten it out past ,your building,

your house is new. you should be covered,

How do you recharge the a/c in a 1998 Saturn SW2?

A good friend of mine needs her A/C recharged, and since she doesn't have the $130 necessary to do it at the place I work at, I offered to just get the R-134 from Wal-Mart and do it myself. Problem is, I've only got a limited amount of experience in the matter, and I'd greatly appreciate any help offered to me. Thanks in advance!

How do you recharge the a/c in a 1998 Saturn SW2?
its real easy. you need to find a tube that has a blue top (like a bottle top). you also need a a pump to pump in the r 134 into it. you can get it at autozone for less than $10.
Reply:R-134 systems need the proper amount of refrigerant in the system to work properly. The only way to make sure is to remove all of the remaining refrigerant , evacuate the system (pull a vacuum on the system to remove air and moisture), and recharge it. Topping off with cans from WalMart might work but if it is empty the air needs to be removed or it won't work properly. Save your money and let a pro do it right, and fix the leak so it works next year too.
Reply:IT HAS 2 VALVE. A RED ONE WHICH IS HIGH

IT HAS A BLUE ONE WHICH IS LOW. WHEN DOING IT YOURSELF YOU ONLY USE THE BLUE(LOW) VALVE

WITH CAR RUNING ADD THE FREON(A/C GAS) THRU THE LOW VALVE UNTIL IT READ 35 THRU 40PSI ON THE GAUGE
Reply:you will need to buy a kit that has the fittings for 134a. then you also will need a small amount of ester oil to mx with the oil in the compessor already. then all you need to do is put the refrigerant in it. you will also need the tap line for the 134a. the car willl also need to be running to put the freon in it.

Do I qualify to file Schedule C this year?

I just graduated from Massage School and have spent nearly $1500 in supplies and equipment (start up costs) in 2006. I passed my national exam the 6th of January and am still waiting for my actual license. My question is - can I file schedule C in 2006 or do I lose all of the start up expenses that I have already spent?

Do I qualify to file Schedule C this year?
You will not LOSE your expenses but must wait to use them AFTER you start your business. The equipment you purchase can be depreciated BEGINNING in the year you place it in service.

In other words, if you start your business February 15, 2007, (remember the date you start the business - you will need it later for many reasons) then the date you place the equipment that you have already purchased in service will be the day inwhich depreciation begins.

FOR NEW EQUIPMENT AFTER BUSINESS BEGINS:

Ex: You purchase a massage table March 3, 2007 for 2000.00.

When you file your 2007 taxes, you will "depreciate" the massage table using 03/03/2007 as date placed in service until the end of the year or you may "write off" the entire $2000.00 for tax year 2007 through Section 179 depreciation.

Make sure you keep receipts for all purchases in case you are audited.
Reply:To add on to what Wayne Z said, when you do start your business (2007), you do not deduct all of your start up expenses in one year. Start up expenses are capitalized and amortized evenly over a period that you can choose, but it cannot be less than 60 months. Your equipment have to be capitalized anyways and depreciated over it's useful life (equipment is generally 5 years, although office equipment such as desks, filing cabinets, etc. are depreciated over 7 years). Depreciation starts when the equipment is placed in service (begins to be used), not when it is purchased. You do have the option to elect Section 179 on the capital assets and fully depreciate it in one year, provided that you have the income to deduct it against. Therefore only the supplies that you purchased should be capitalized as start up expenses. However, since supplies are consumables that you would typically use up and have to replenish before the tax year is up anyways, you would have a good argument that the supplies should not be capitalized as start up expenses and amortized over 5 years. So, in your case, I would just report the $1,500 (split it out between your supplies and your equipment) on your 2007 tax return as deductions against your massage income.
Reply:Start Up expenses are deductable after you start your business.

You don't lose them, but you can only tax them after you officially open for business.
Reply:Did you operate your business in 2006? If not, don't worry about a Sched C until tax time in 2008. You won't lose your start up expenses. Keep any receipts and documentation of purchases because you'll need all of that for your tax pro. Don't rush it with the Sched C because you don't want to end up owing Uncle Sam unnecessarily.

How do you "unfreeze" an a/c compressor?

I have two Ford Taurus's, one is a '99 the other is a '91, in both of them, the A/C compressor has frozen up and keep on destroying belts. How can I un-freeze the compressor, and keep these things running?

How do you "unfreeze" an a/c compressor?
You cannot unfreeze them!!! They froze up because they were defective. The reason that they jam and stop turning is that as they wear out the particles and gray looking gunk in the compressor grinds off and flows through the entire ac system returning back to the compressor where it binds it up and stops it. This is actually known in the auto trade as the "gray death" on Fords as if you remove the lines and flush the system you get a slimy gray gunk out of it that I have been told is the material from the compressor rings and the swash plate that moves the pistons. Ford is the worse for this because of some wierd way they build their compressors. Not just a compressor change you have to remove all the hoses from the condensor and evaporator and flush all of the hoses and condensor and evaporator and also replace the drier and orifice tube or hose and tube as some Ford models have the tube installed permanently in the hiigh side line near the condensor. If you don't what will happen is that the new shiny compressor will soon fill up with the gray gunk left in the system from the old bad compressor and ruin it in often a matter of days or hours. If you return a new compressor with this gray stuff in it they don't have to warranty it as they know immediately that you did NOT do what they recommend in flushing the system. Takes about a half gallon of special flush solvent to do this blown out with compressed air and sometimes more. One of the reasons that Ac work has become so expensive on cars nowdays is that you have to do so much more to make them work than you used to. All the older cars with the big compressors in the 60's and 70's had oil reservoirs in them that kept them lubricated. This problem did not occur on them as you could just replace the compressor and drier and recharge. It is when they made the compressors smaller and lighter they did away with the oil reservoir and make the compressor depend on lubrication flowing through the system to keep it going. This is a self-defeating system as once the compressor starts to go bad the dirt from it can plug the orifice tube or expansion vale and slow down the flow of freon. This also starves the compressor for oil and makes it wear that much faster which increases the gunk in the system etc. Do the job right the first time and you will save a ton of trouble and money in the long run. Refrigerant alone is so expensive nowdays to replace each time you have to open the system to fix something that should have been done the first time. Fortunately rebuilt compressors for your vehicle are not that terribly expensive, nor are the rest of the parts. You are luckier than some as some of the very new cars can't be done without actually replacing the condensor at the same time as it is designed in such as way that it won't flush out the dirt. Boy for the good ole days on AC!!! :-)
Reply:....................... cannot do any thing ............ show the workshop ....
Reply:u need to have them rebuilt

buy a belt that is smaller where u can eliminate the ac pump till u can repair or replace pump
Reply:Replace the compressor.

How to change a president on C-type Corporation?

My partner and I have a C-type coporation that we opened a couple of months ago. The president of corporation is him and I hold 50% of shares. My partner want out because he is starting the family, therefore I need to become a president and 100% owner. How do I do that? Would it be enough for him to sign a share with his 50% transfer to me? Or do I need to fill out a special form or a letter signed by both parties?

How to change a president on C-type Corporation?
To transfer stock from him to you, you need an agreement. To change the President, you need a Board resolution. Both should be relatively easy to prepare. If you are not sure what to do, borrow a Nolo Press book on corporations from your local library or talk to an attorney.
Reply:You should have an agreement where he transfers his share to you. Then a shareholders meeting to elect you as president. You then have to notify the secretary of state that you have become the president. You should also make yourself the agent for process.

How soon after a D&C did you carry a healthy pregnancy to term?

I am scheduled for a D%26amp;C on Friday...and am curious to know how soon my husband and I can start trying again....the doctors say 6 months to a year....but I'm looking for real women with real answers aside from the doctor's textbook recommendation.

How soon after a D%26amp;C did you carry a healthy pregnancy to term?
I've had two miscarriages. The first I passed the baby at home (I was about 12 weeks along), without a D%26amp;C. It took 7 months to get pregnant again, %26amp; I had my son. I had a second miscarriage this past Feb. 19th %26amp; had to have a D%26amp;C (I was 18 weeks along). They told us no sex for two weeks, so we complied. I was pregnant again 10 days after that. No period ever came!

Needless to say, after my first experience, I didn't expect that!

I'm sure my body wasn't ready yet (needed more healing), but I am now 38 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby due any time now.

So keep it in prayer %26amp; make sure you're emotionally ready. It helps not to be desperate to become pregnant again. I truly think that's why it took so long to conceive after my first miscarriage! Since I wasn't expecting it, that's why I got pregnant so quick the second time. That's my theory anyway.

Good luck %26amp; God bless you!
Reply:Honestly, if the pregnancy ended early (by 8 weeks) I see no reason to wait that long, unless you have some medical issue. I miscarried in my 2nd trimester and the doctor said to wait 2 or 3 months, which was actually good timing for me. I would say start trying again when you've healed from the procedure and you feel you're emotionally ready.

Good luck.
Reply:I had a blightes ovum (sperm and egg meet but don't develop) I had a d%26amp;c. MY Dr told me to wait a month before trying again. I waited, ans was pregnant again within 3 months. MY Dr said that after a d%26amp;c my uterus was clean and fresh for lack of a better term. 6 months to a year is a little excessive...especially when my Dr said 1 month.
Reply:I had my D%26amp;C December 13th, 2005 and by April I was preggy...I had my baby girl December 12th 2006. I also had to go drugs to help me get preggy though because I have PCOS.
Reply:I've had 2 miscarriages. The 1st one at 9 weeks. After the d%26amp;c I was pregnant again in 3 months time. I had another miscarriage at 10 weeks and then another d%26amp;c and got pregnant 4 months later. I'm now 18w 3d pregnant and all is going well thank god! Best of luck to you. You can start trying as soon as you feel ready. Remember.....no sex after d%26amp;c until the bleeding has stopped completely.

Have any c-section ladies had dull throbbing pains inside more than six months after their operation?

I had my second c-section six months ago and my incision is completely healed. However, I have dull throbbing pains off and on in my lower abdomen and in the general incision area. The best way I can describe it is that my insides ache. My obgyn did not seem worried but I was would feel better if other people had experienced the same thing. Thanks in advance!

Have any c-section ladies had dull throbbing pains inside more than six months after their operation?
nope had two c sections and not problems. you had best get with the doctor and find out what it is thee has to be soemting wrong. maybe they left someting in there hey its possible.
Reply:I had similar pains up until about 6 months after my c-section.

My Gyno said it was my body getting back to normal, then about a month later, it stopped, and I haven't had that pain since.

I would definately see your Dr. anyway, to be on the safe side. Get another opinion, I saw 2 Dr.s and a gyno until I was satisfied I found someone who knew what they were talking about, and that I trusted.
Reply:I had a c-section and for like a year after I'd have some dull little pains every now and then where the incision was made...It was definitely nothing terrible and I wouldn't be doubled over with pain or anything...I never really felt the need to discuss it with my doctor either...I am sure that all it was, was nerves...probably scar tissue forming...just normal stuff after a major surgery...I honestly never had anything seriously wrong or hurt on me...I healed beautifully and have a great "battle scar" which I am proud of...

So, all in all, it's more than likely nerve endings firing and finishing their recovering...hope this gives you some peace of mind...and of course if there's MAJOR pain, you obviously know what to do!! Congrats on your baby!!

I need some help, my a/c is not working and it is so humid in my house that the carpet feels wet.?

what is the best way to reduce the humidity while the a/c is repaired?

I need some help, my a/c is not working and it is so humid in my house that the carpet feels wet.?
Run a dehumidifier. I listed a few in the link. You might want to check your local tool rental store...they might have them for rent.
Reply:You could simply use a "Dehumidifier" most stores carry them in the summer time.
Reply:get a fan.
Reply:Did you check the circuit breaker or fuses? Does the fan blow on the interior of your unit? Does the outside unit come on ? Give more detail please. Dehumidifier is the way to go

How to mount an A/C condensor to the side of a house?

I want to mount a new 5 ton A/C condensor to the side of my new house. I do not want to pour a concrete slab. Do I have to make angle iron triangles or can these be bought? How do I attach the angle iron to my house? The unit weights about 200lbs.

How to mount an A/C condensor to the side of a house?
There is a good reason why ac units are put on the ground. If you attach it to your house, every time it runs your house will vibrate with the harmonics of the unit. My guess is it will drive you nuts in a very short time. Plus you will have to run your lines to the far outside of the unit for access during maintenance and repairs exposing them to a greater chance of damage after, of course, making sure your clearances for air circulation are met. If you don't mind these, go ahead and mount it to your house. However, they make preformed pads that can be laid on the ground so you don't have to pour a pad, just level the ground and lay it down. These can be found at most HVAC supply houses. A wall bracket system would be much more expensive and time consuming than the pad. If you are intent on mounting to your house, it all depends on the exterior house material as to how you would do it and I would need more info before I could guide you thru the process.

Good Luck!
Reply:YOU WELL MAKE AIRON ANGEL TO LEFT THIS WEIGHT AND FIX THIS ANGLE ON THE WALL BY GOOD TYPE OOF BOLTS AND CHECK ITS HAS THE SAME LEVEL

If you like the game so much, support the small indy game developers by buying the game.

You may think that you're stealing from the large corporations, but you're not. Most games are made by the small co's that usually only consist of 1 or 2 people.

How to replace an A/C compressor in my house?

My A/C unit at home doesn't get cold anymore. I'm told that my compressor froze up and that a new one would cost $700 with labor. I'd rather do it myself for less if it is possible. I'm very handy when it comes to any kind of repairs as long as I have specific instructions to follow.

Thank you for your input!!!!

How to replace an A/C compressor in my house?
You cannot do it because of restrictions on refrigerant usage. You have to be certified by the epa. Before you spend the money, make sure the compressor really is bad. Many times the compressor is not really the problem but it gets replaced any way. If the compressor is "froze" you can try to free it up with what is called a hard start capacitor. The problem could be something else such as a bad run capacitor. For more info, check out the air conditioner page at my source.
Reply:Hi. Its really a lot of works involving:-

1) Discharge yr existing refrigerate gas in yr condensing unit,

2) Blazing to remove yr faulty compressor

3) Replace new compressor

4) Blaze new compressor to match existing connection

5) Charge in new refrigerate gas to the optimum pressure with aid of pressure gauge

I'll suggest you get a few contractor to give u a quote. By the time u get those equipment, it'll definately cost you more than $700...

How do we get 501(c)(3) status with the IRS?

We would like to register our national (registered) not-for-profit in the USA and get 501(c)(3) status with the IRS. Is there anyone who is able to advise on next steps or even act as consultant to get the job done? It seems to be a critical step for our South African company, in order to receive donations with tax benefits for USA citizens. We are also interested in associated fees.

How do we get 501(c)(3) status with the IRS?
Contributions by U.S. Citizens to foreign organizations are generally not deductible, although there are a few exceptions by treaty. You will likely need to form a U.S. entity first, and then apply for IRC Section 501(c)(3) status.

In order to obtain 501(c)(3) status, you must file IRS Form 1023 with the Internal Revenue Service. It is a substantial form that will require you to describe your programs and plans; explain how they fit within Section 501(c) (3)'s requirements and also disclose your organization's leaders, structure, background, and track record, if there is one. The questions call for detail, and will require a lot of work.

An attorney is not required, but strongly recommended.

At the present time, if everything is in order on the Form 1023, the minimum processing time for the IRS to make a determination is approximately 6 weeks. This 6 week timeframe will work, subject to a few limited exceptions, ONLY when the entire appication (Form 1023) looks "right" on a first pass review by the IRS. If the IRS exempt organizations section determines, after a first look at the application, that further information or investigation is necessary, prior to making its determination, it will be approximately 9 months before you will receive a ruling. It is therefore beneficial to get it right the first time.

If a Form 1023 is filed within 27 months of organization of an entity, and it is approved, the approval will date back to the date of formation.

There is a "user fee" for the evaluation of Form 1023 which will vary depending on the applicant's revenue.

Attorneys' fee will vary widely, depending on what firm does the work, but might be expected to be in the range of $5,000 to $25,000. At a reputable and experienced firm, expect a retainer of at $7,500 - $10,000, with full fees variable, based upon the amount of work required.. This estimate assumes that a U.S. entity (usually, but not necessarily a corporation) will need to be formed.

The fees will vary depending upon a number of factors, including the degree of organization of the charity, and whether follow-up advocacy of the application is necessary. U.S. attorneys will usually do this sort of work on an hourly basis, with hourly rates for an experienced tax lawyer running from $275 - $750 per hour. In the Los Angeles area, expect $350 - $500 per hour.

The IRS is giving special scrutiny right now to charities in general, and overseas charities in particular.
Reply:Great job!!!! Report It

Reply:There is a series of forms that have to be filled out and can be obtained via the IRS. You have to be able to account for funds raised and disbursed. The None Profit has to have a specific purpose and means to achieve that purpose. Outside of that it is just the formality of filling out the forms and filing them. Getting a business plan to assist with this process is probably a good idea as it would have this basic information.

Is it any connections between hepatitis C and sore throat, coughing, ear infections?

I read an article about Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. He had a throat surgery last spring and hepatitis C treatment. What kind of throat surgery it may be?

Is it any connections between hepatitis C and sore throat, coughing, ear infections?
While hep c does affect organs other than your liver, it is unlikely that the sore throat, coughing, etc are from hep c.
Reply:Very, very unlikely. Hep C is a liver disease. A sore throat, ear infections and coughing are not the usual symptoms of Hep C. They are the usual symptoms of a sinus infection or some other common ear, nose throat infection. Just check with a doc.

Update More info on Hep C from Wikapedia:

Hepatitis C is a blood-borne, infectious, viral disease that is caused by a hepatotropic virus called Hepatitis C virus (HCV). The infection can cause liver inflammation that is often asymptomatic, but ensuing chronic hepatitis can result later in cirrhosis and liver cancer.

Acute hepatitis C refers to the first 6 months after infection with HCV. Remarkably, 60% to 70% of people infected develop no symptoms during the acute phase. In the minority of patients who experience acute phase symptoms, they are generally mild and nonspecific, and rarely lead to a specific diagnosis of hepatitis C. Symptoms of acute hepatitis C infection include decreased appetite, fatigue, abdominal pain, jaundice, itching, and flu-like symptoms

Generalized signs and symptoms associated with chronic hepatitis C include fatigue, flu-like symptoms, muscle pain, joint pain, intermittent low-grade fevers, itching, sleep disturbances, abdominal pain (especially in the right upper quadrant), appetite changes, nausea, dyspepsia, cognitive changes, depression, headaches, and mood swings.
Reply:the above poster is wrong on his information. hcv is NOT just a liver disease. The virus only needs the liver to make it's virons and then send the messengers out into the body. In turn, HCV is found in everything, ie, skin, heart, lungs, kidneys, intestines...brain. everything. yes it is possible to have ear infections and throat issues since our bodies are chronically infected thus, weakening the rest of our bodily functions.

I do not remember what it was ST had the surgery for, but perhaps the thyroid. Thyroid disease is three times likely to occur when HCV and/or its treatment (antiviral chemotherapy) are in force.

I would further like to tell everyone that HCV changes its genetic makeup each time in re-enters the liver. (hence the chronicity of the virus).

The hcv virons do pass the blood brain barrier along with the toxins from the liver damage (unable to filter toxins).

If you have hcv, your entire body is ill.
