was arrested in 5/06 ofr a very minor domestic assault. I I hired an attorney and perfomed 6 months of Anger mangement. I enterd a plea of not guilt and had the case dissmissed, but the criminal record shows a Class C Misdemeanor.
How much would it cost me if i do not hire an attorney to have a Class C Misdemeanor expunged from my record?
Good luck i cant seem to find in the state of texas any attorney willing to help with exsponging my assault misd. record and it is affecting employment at all levels! and on top of that i have a felony drug charge that is showing up and is not mine and no one seems to care! and cant find attorney to get this off either! looks like the system is failing us good ol americans again!
Reply:Domestic Assault charges, due to their nature, are not always expungable. Costs of expunging charges vary state to state and charge to charge. The best thing to do is contact your local District Attorney's office or Cleark of Courts. Who handles it varies state to state and even county to county.
I wish you luck. Even with it being "only" a Class C misdemeanor, domestic assualt charges are hard to removed from a record.
