How can I reduce swelling from my c-section scar tissue?

It's been 8 weeks since I had my baby. This is my 4th child and 3rd C-Section. It's swollen both completely underneath the incision and above it on one side. I feel like Frankenstein!

Please go see your doctor. Because as you already know this is not normal or right. I hope your okay
Reply:Let your doctor check it out to make sure it's not infected
Reply:Swelling of scars is not good, especially if it is red and painful.

My mother is a dermatologist, and she used to talk about scars that she had to even out because they did not get cleaned properly by a doctor and excessive tissue started developing. If it's red or itches, call your doctor ASAP.

If you are absolutely sure that it's is not infected- it's completely dry, not red and it's just swollen and feels taut, OTC creams with salicylic acid will work fine. Also, toning your muscles will pull the skin back to normal and will make it less noticeable. If sit ups are too hard at this time, try vigorous walking (you can take the kids with you). Swimming is also awesome.
