How do I bypass the a/c on a '99 jeep cherokee?

No one, not even Summit racing has been able to come up with a practical solution. the closest i've come is to custom fit a belt, bypassing the a/c compressor.

How do I bypass the a/c on a '99 jeep cherokee?
I would give quadratech a call. (www.quadratec.com) if it has to do with jeeps there the people to talk to.
Reply:You do realize your compressor doesn't run all the time, now if the clutch is seized look for a manual for same vehicle W/O A/C. this will show the routing and what pulley may be missing or need to be moved. the front of the engine will accept the change without custom work. Yes they do make them without A/C
Reply:You've got it. Remove the a/c compressor and get a tape measure from one of the fabric stores. Find a patient auto parts counter person to match you up with a belt. Get the A/C discharged at a mechanic. Liquid refrigerant is no fun when it gets in your face.
Reply:that works and unplug the power wire from it.
