How much gap under bedroom doors is needed for proper a/c air flow?

I got new carpet installed that is much higher than the old stuff that came out and now need to plane off the bottom of the bedroom doors to clear. I need to know how much gap should there be in order for the air flow of the a/c system to work correctly? Thanks especially if there are any air conditioning service contractors out there.

1/4"
Reply:The proper gap for airflow with air conditioning is one inch (1)
Reply:A/Cor not doesn't matter, there should be a half inch gap.
Reply:About a half to 3/4 inch. We had the same issue when we remodeled our house. We rearranged all the rooms and had varied floor coverings (wood, carpet, and tile in different rooms). So, even the old, existing doors were not the right height. After we got all the floor coverings in, the contractor came through and cut all the doors to the proper clearance, which he said was 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.
Reply:SHOULD BE A LEAST 1/2" FOR THE FLOW OF AIR TO BE MOVED AROUND THE HOME
