How do I transfer programmes from drive c to d?

I had to re-boot my pc and decided it would be easier to install windows on drive D. Now I have iTunes on drive C with all my music and artwork. How do I transfer this from drive C to D ?

How do I transfer programmes from drive c to d?
Chris To reboot a pc it means to simply just restart it. I think I understand what you are saying . you have now installed windows onto another hard drive Drive d. You cannot move programmes . you will have to reinstall whatever programmes you want to use onto drive d. good luck

Ignore all these others telling you to copy n paste and send to etc it will not work.

These programmes are technically not installed anymore as you are not useing the operating system that you installed them to. You must reinstall them to the drive that has your working operating system on. Drive D. In other simpler words you have to reinstall the programmes from the discs totally from scratch. The tunes and artwork pictures files and other data are safe of c. If you want to move them just drag them over or use explore and drag over. But to use them on d you obviously need the relavent software to run the application
Reply:Personally, I'd have done it the other way around. Leave your operating system and programs where they were (on the C: drive). This is where the OS expects to be and to find program files. Create a partition (the D: drive) and use this for your data files. This way, if you ever need to re-install Windows (which formats the drive/partition) your data will be safe. CD/DVD back ups are still a good idea, though.
Reply:To change which drive Windows is installed on you would have to reinstall from scratch (this would mean you would have to reinstall EVERY program). If you have to ask this question you are probably not ready to reinstall windows, just move iTunes to drive D instead.

Edit: Don't use cut and paste, that will seriously screw up your computer. Use Control Panel -%26gt; Add/Remove Programs if you want to change anything.
Reply:Just simply copy the music or video files to another drive E or F... then install the os in D....

But the software once installed cannot be copied onto another copy of os because of registry keys....

so, if u install a new os then u have to install itunes once again...but also u can find the music or video files in any folder where it will store..

if you dont know that where it is .. then search a file which is one of your collection...then see the path and take a back up of the music files and then install fresh os on D drive...

if still you have doubt then Email me
Reply:Have you right clicked and 'send to'?
